Feeling Peachy

Despite the stubbornly cold weather, we're adamant that Spring is on its way, with evenings becoming lighter and sunshine beginning to pour through the window when we wake. As ever, we're trying lift everyone's spirits with bright hues in The Attic, and we particularly love the peachy colour of this retro suit. Equally, if you're trying for the retro look but don't want to go full out vintage, why not invest in one of these turbans? In bright colours they're on trend for Spring/Summer 2013 and create a vintage look without going OTT.

You may have noticed we've been in a state of flux in The Attic this week. Please bare with us while we make some exciting new changes.. but in the meantime here's a sneak peak of things to come! 

This Is Knit

Whether you're an experienced knitter or thinking of taking it up as a new hobby for 2013 our retro knitting patterns are defiantly a brilliant project, and you will end up with a big cozy jumper which are a must at the moment!

This week the shop has also been home to this AMAZING Singer sewing machine table, complete with many spare bobbins! It is such an amazing piece, even just to look at and an original Singer is so beautiful in itself. 

Team it up with our vintage sewing patterns and you could create some amazing unique outfits made with your own two hands!

Many of the Vintage // Retro toys mentioned in our Childhood Memories post have flown out The Attic. However, we were thrilled to come across this selection of 1985 'The Snowman' memorabilia this afternoon. 

This would make a very special Christmas present, especially for anyone who has turned 27 this year!

With Christmas the New Year approaching, there will be many parties to attend! We know how dapper our Attic costumers are, and with some great smart jackets and fancy vintage bow ties in, you could look brilliant for all events!

If you called by the shop last week you'll have noticed we've been busy making improvements to your shopping experience this Christmas. We've extended Children's toys and games, as well as adding loads of puzzlea and games for you adults too, not to mention the re-introduction of 'Bric-a-Brac' for fun and unique Christmas Gifts. We've also condensed but strengthened Menswear and accessories, giving you dapper gents more choice of quality items.

Upstairs in The Attic we've had some lovely pieces of furniture in, as well as some great home accessories which have been flying out as quickly as we put them in!!  As the season gets colder, the cosier and warmer the shirt the better!

We've had SteamPunk mania in the shop this week as our Window Displays and vintage clothing have been selling as quickly as we put them out! By the time we'd got round to photographing the main window, we'd already sold an entire outfit on each of the models. 

If you didn't know, the annual Asylum SteamPunk festival at The Lawn in Lincoln starts this Thursday the 6th and will be taking over the city all weekend. Each year promises the best in bizarre, creative, and inspiring costumes and anybody and everybody is welcome. 

We have a plethora of clothes and accessories for you to get kitted out in The Attic, with beautiful vintage dresses starting at as little as £15! Keep an eye out for us this weekend as well, as we don our corsets, waistcoats, and full vintage dresses on Lincoln High Street!
