Come and join St Barnabas for this fantastic one off Vintage Fashion and Lifestyle Event! Pop in to our store to purchase a ticket and while you are visiting why not check out our wonderful new Attic Emporium!

Top to Toe Vintage will have a mix of Vintage Fashion and Home stalls, where many wonderful items can be found! From hand crafted bags, jewellery, accessories, an assortment of vintage inspired fabrics, designs from Cute as a Button, vintage inspired jewellery using up-cycled vintage beads, cards using vintage fabrics, haberdashery, vintage inspired prints, vintage inspired gifts for the home, collection of knitting, sewing books and magazines from the 50’s and 60’s plus our yummy homemade cakes and lots more vintage inspired goodies. In addition to all these wonderful things there will be demonstrations for shabby chic furniture as well as hair and make up styles!

Plenty to be seen and shopped by all! There will also be some wonderful entertainment. Go on you know you want to go! There's even a raffle where you can be in the chance to win vouchers for the Double Tree, Hilton and many more amazing prizes! So come in to our store and purchase your ticket before they all go! Spring Colours

Despite the mixed weather we've had lately, we're getting really excited about Spring being round the corner and have injected some lovely fresh colours into The Attic to brighten up these bitterly cold days. Not to mention that love is in the air with Valentines Day in less than two weeks. 

If you hadn't already noticed, we like to have fresh flowers in the shop and try our best to get as much life out of them as possible. This extends to once the flowers have dropped as we make confetti using the dried petals. It's really easy to dry petals if you haven't done before. Simple carefully remove the head of the flower from the steam, and gently pull the petals away. Lay the petals out on a try (or similar large surface) being careful not overlap the petals, and leave in a warm dry place. Voila - you're own homemade confetti. 

Coloured glass and dinner services made from oddments are super fashionable, ever-so practical  and most importantly, mega affordable. We have a wonderful selection of vintage glasses om all shapes, sizes and colours which all look stunning together and make a great talking point when entertaining. 

Finally, we have some fab new items of clothing in our Attic wardrobe - but hurry as they're already flying out!

This Is Knit

Whether you're an experienced knitter or thinking of taking it up as a new hobby for 2013 our retro knitting patterns are defiantly a brilliant project, and you will end up with a big cozy jumper which are a must at the moment!

This week the shop has also been home to this AMAZING Singer sewing machine table, complete with many spare bobbins! It is such an amazing piece, even just to look at and an original Singer is so beautiful in itself. 

Team it up with our vintage sewing patterns and you could create some amazing unique outfits made with your own two hands!

Lincoln Christmas Market

If you live in Lincoln you will undoubtedly know the annual Lincoln Christmas Market will commence today for what will promise to be a truly magical and exciting start to the Christmas period. 

In celebration of this we have launched our 'Recycled Christmas' window! We hope you like our take on our 'Recycled Christmas' brief? We had a lot to live up to this year, as last year we won the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice Christmas window display competition with our 'Twelve Days of Christmas' window (which you can see by clicking on the Gallery tab above). 

To really get the full effect of the window, make sure you pop by in the evening as you will see the illuminated candles on the tree, and the lit up bauble wreath. 

Don't forget, we have extended our opening hours during the market too -
