Bring Me Sunshine!

As this post goes out the beautiful blue skies have been broken with a freak hail storm threatening to ruin all of our plans for an outdoor weekend! However, that hasn't stopped us getting in the mood for Summer with both our windows celebrating the good weather we've been enjoying recently. 

While we'd love to see you this weekend here on Lincoln High Street, don't forget that the new 'Superstore' at Birchwood opens its doors at 10am tomorrow (Saturday 27th). At the grand opening there will be a raffle for two lovely bottles of champagne, with a free ticket given with every transaction!

This Is Knit

Whether you're an experienced knitter or thinking of taking it up as a new hobby for 2013 our retro knitting patterns are defiantly a brilliant project, and you will end up with a big cozy jumper which are a must at the moment!

This week the shop has also been home to this AMAZING Singer sewing machine table, complete with many spare bobbins! It is such an amazing piece, even just to look at and an original Singer is so beautiful in itself. 

Team it up with our vintage sewing patterns and you could create some amazing unique outfits made with your own two hands!

Lincoln Christmas Market

If you live in Lincoln you will undoubtedly know the annual Lincoln Christmas Market will commence today for what will promise to be a truly magical and exciting start to the Christmas period. 

In celebration of this we have launched our 'Recycled Christmas' window! We hope you like our take on our 'Recycled Christmas' brief? We had a lot to live up to this year, as last year we won the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice Christmas window display competition with our 'Twelve Days of Christmas' window (which you can see by clicking on the Gallery tab above). 

To really get the full effect of the window, make sure you pop by in the evening as you will see the illuminated candles on the tree, and the lit up bauble wreath. 

Don't forget, we have extended our opening hours during the market too -

With Christmas the New Year approaching, there will be many parties to attend! We know how dapper our Attic costumers are, and with some great smart jackets and fancy vintage bow ties in, you could look brilliant for all events!

In celebration of the Lincoln Christmas lights being switched on this evening, we thought we'd share with you a sneak peek at how The Attic is shaping up for Christmas. We've had SteamPunk mania in the shop this week as our Window Displays and vintage clothing have been selling as quickly as we put them out! By the time we'd got round to photographing the main window, we'd already sold an entire outfit on each of the models. 

If you didn't know, the annual Asylum SteamPunk festival at The Lawn in Lincoln starts this Thursday the 6th and will be taking over the city all weekend. Each year promises the best in bizarre, creative, and inspiring costumes and anybody and everybody is welcome. 

We have a plethora of clothes and accessories for you to get kitted out in The Attic, with beautiful vintage dresses starting at as little as £15! Keep an eye out for us this weekend as well, as we don our corsets, waistcoats, and full vintage dresses on Lincoln High Street! 

Between all the SteamPunk madness we also have some truly beautiful pieces of Vintage furniture and accessories in The Attic at the moment. 

Bank Holiday in The Attic

We've had an absolutely fabulous bank holiday weekend here at the High Street Shop. With the Fete on the Strait as well as the Kind Vintage Fair on Saturday, the shop was absolutely heaving all day!

You might have also seen us clad in Vintage on the High Street distributing flyers promoting The Attic with links on to this very blog! The Attic has been wonderfully busy all weekend, with many a happy customer leaving with vintage/retro finds. 

We've been open throughout the entire bank holiday weekend and have enjoyed the holiday atmosphere that has hit Lincoln High Street. Not to mention the (by and large) fab weather! Britain battered by rain?? Not in Lincoln! 

As the new school term approaches and it's back to/start of University for many young people across the county, don't forget to call by. Whether you're kitting out your new student flat, investing in fancy dress for Freshers Week, need a suit or evening dress for Graduation Prom, we'll have something to suit your needs!
